Honoring the Memory
Dr. Duff Gula passed away on March 24, 2003. He joined Total
Orthopaedic Care in 1994, and was on staff at several
area hospitals. He held leadership
positions in numerous medical societies and selflessly volunteered
his medical expertise to our community.
He loved to golf and fish.
In March 2003, he was inducted into the DePauw University Athletic
Hall of Fame for outstanding achievement as a student athlete where
he was
a four-year letterman in both football and baseball and was chosen
as MVP for both sports and the entire athletic department his senior
year.
He was drafted by the Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Pirates, but chose
to practice medicine instead. He also served as Eminent Archon (President)
of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
The Board of Directors and staff of Total Orthopaedic Care honor
the memory of Dr. Gula to celebrate the life he led and to acknowledge
the
way in which he touched our lives and the lives of his patients,
and for his outstanding contributions to the community. Even though
Dr. Gula
is no longer with us, his precious memories will live in our hearts
forever.
